We source theatre education workshops from working industry professionals.

The theatre industry is ever-evolving. New protocols and ways of working are constantly being developed. For young artists that are seriously considering a career in the performing arts, the best way to learn about the industry is from artists who are currently working in it.
We build bridges between theatre education programs and industry professionals in order to facilitate this approach.

Melinette Pallares (Owner + Managing Director) launched G+T Artists in March 2023.

During the pandemic, Melinette designed a Guest Artist Series for a Texas school district’s Fine Arts Department. She was proud to have successfully sourced and coordinated 19 virtual workshops taught by working industry professionals during that school year.

To witness over 75 young artists experience growth in their self-confidence, respective techniques, and understanding of professional theatre in the middle of a global pandemic was a beautiful thing indeed. Melinette didn’t want it to stop there.

With newfound inspiration, Melinette formed G+T Artists and has set out source theatre education based workshops from working professionals for as many young artists as possible.

Melinette Pallares was born and raised in Harlingen, Texas. She grew up singing, dancing, and playing piano and decided to pursue higher education within the arts. After earning a BA in Theatre and Dance from The University of Texas at Austin in just three years, Melinette moved to New York City to begin her career.

In the spring of 2017, Melinette made her professional debut in the critically acclaimed US Premiere of “In the Heights” in Spanish at the GALA Hispanic Theatre in Washington DC. She then went on to perform in several professional regional theaters across the US. (Goodman Theater, Cleveland Play House, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Pittsburgh Musical Theater, Lyric Stage Dallas, Riverside Center for the Performing Arts, The Newport Music Festival, Radio City Music Hall) Shows include: American Mariachi, In the Heights, Legally Blonde, A Chorus Line, Man of La Mancha, and Evita.

Melinette is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association.

Most recently, Melinette made her Cleveland Play House debut as “Gabby” in Jose Cruz Gonzalez’s American Mariachi.

Melinette is thrilled and honored to have the opportunity to develop her career as a performer alongside her passion as an educator. She looks toward the future of theatre education and industry with hope and excitement.
